Description
Many think that the rabies virus is an ancient, out of date, infection that no longer is a threat to mankind today. However, rabies kills thousands of people a year. Even thou rabies enters the body through the blood stream, it quickly escapes into the bodies nervous system where the antibodies cannot get to it. The virus will then continue traveling towards the brain which could take from three days to a year before reaching its destination. Once the virus reaches the brain, there is no more hope for the patient.
